Meghan’s Story
Meghan grew up in Rochester, NY, where she fell in love with building forts out of cul-de-sac snow mounds, performing plays in the backyard treehouse, and biking along the Erie Canal. To this day, nothing beats riding the jet ski and having bonfires at her grandma’s house on Cayuga Lake. Meghan’s passion for dance and theatre eventually brought her to NJ and NYC, where she is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Education. When Meghan met Stephen, she was immediately drawn to his kindness and knew he had the makings of a lifelong best friend.
Stephen’s Story
Stephen grew up in South Brunswick, NJ. As a kid, he loved playing knee hockey with his brothers, going to Mets and Devils games, and visiting his parents’ childhood neighborhood in Brooklyn for L&B pizza. During the school year, he ran track and field, and he spent his summers at Oak Crest Summer Camp, first as a camper and eventually a counselor. Stephen now lives in Hoboken, NJ, where he has built a career in software. When he met Meghan, he was immediately drawn to her passion, independence, and huge heart. He knew that she was someone he could build a life with.
Our Story
Meghan and Stephen met on a first date at a board game café, where they played The Game of Life, a fitting way to dream about the future! They bonded over sharing their passions with each other- now Meghan is yelling in the stands at hockey games, and Stephen belts out showtunes! The last three years together have been filled with celebrations, travel, and so much joy. While they suspect the real version of life together may come with a few more surprises than the board game on their first date allowed, they cannot wait to see where the journey takes them.
